SUMMARY:Wheat and Sheep Day
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, May 13 from 10 AM to 4 PM\, watch as the Thompson-Neely sheep are shorn of their wool and tour the grist mill at this family friendly event. This limited event will include a trip to the barn for a hand shearing presentation as well as period demonstrations and tours of our historic Grist Mill. From there\, follow the Colonial process of washing and carding the wool and spinning it into yarn. You’ll also get a take-home activity kit\, full of Colonial crafts! \nShearings are held every hour\, and mill tours are held on the half hour 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. \nShearing Schedule\n10 AM: Cindy & Nathanael\n11 AM: John & Henry\n12 PM: James & Sarah\n2 PM: Jazzy & Knox\n3 PM: Hannah & Alex \nPre-registration is required.
