DESCRIPTION:September: Camp Followers\nDid you know that the Revolutionary Armies were followed by hundreds of women and children? Learn about the importance of the followers in the daily lives of soldiers\, and how these often overlooked people shaped the outcome of the war. \nLocation:  Historic Village\, 1112 River Road\, Washington Crossing\, PA 18977 \nTime:  Saturday August 8th 2026\, 11am – 3pm \nThis free event is part of our Monthly Living History Series. From April through October 2026\, Washington Crossing Historic Park hosts Soldier Saturdays & Farmstead Fridays. Presented in partnership with Americana Corner\, these free monthly programs explore military and civilian life during the American Revolution. \nUpcoming Programs\n\nFarmstead Fridays – Thompson-Neely Farmstead\nExplore civilian life during the Revolution with hands-on demonstrations. Programs take place on the 4th Friday of each month. \n\nSeptember 25: Tending the Flock\nOctober 23: Preparing for Winter\n\n\nGarden Tours\nStep into the sights\, scents\, and stories of an 18th-century kitchen garden on these guided tours\, held at the Hibbs Garden\, the same day as Farmstead Fridays\, at 12:30pm (registration required) \n\nSoldier Saturdays – Lower Park Village\nLearn about military life during the Revolution with monthly themed programs\, held on the 2nd Saturday of each month. \n\nOctober 10: Civilians in the War Effort\n\n\nFall Lantern Tours\nExperience the suspense and determination of the night that changed history. This fall\, join us for immersive seasonal Lantern Tours of Washington Crossing Historic Park\, held at the very time of day the historic Crossing occurred (Registration required).
