SUMMARY:Curator Tour: The Thompson-Neely House
DESCRIPTION:Tour\nStep back in time with a free guided tour of the historic Thompson-Neely House on Sunday\, July 12 at 1:30 PM.\nPark curator Kimberly McCarty will lead a guided tour of the house\, which served as a temporary Continental Army hospital during Washington’s winter campaign of 1776/1777 in Bucks County. Captain James Moore of the New York Artillery died here of camp fever on Christmas day and is buried on the property (in what is now the Soldiers Graves area)\, along with other men who died either in the encampment or battle.\nCapacity is limited to the first 10 registrants. Registration opens on June 15. Please call the Visitor Center at 215-493-4076 to register.\nGarden Workshop\nAs an optional addition to the day\, you’re invited to learn how to create tonics and teas in the Thompson-Neely House Garden beginning at 11:00 AM.
