April: Household Chores

Join us as the farmstead steps into spring with different tasks to do around the house and gardens. Whether it’s mending clothes, preparing garden beds, or making candles, our interpreters will be busy preparing for a new season of farm production as it was done 250 years ago.

This free event is part of our Monthly Living History Series. From April through October 2026, Washington Crossing Historic Park hosts Soldier Saturdays & Farmstead Fridays. Presented in partnership with Americana Corner, these free monthly programs explore military and civilian life during the American Revolution.

Garden Tours
Step into the sights, scents, and stories of an 18th-century kitchen garden on these guided tours, held at the Hibbs House in the Lower Park on the same day as Farmstead Fridays, at 12:30pm (registration required).
