
FREE Summer Sunday Lecture Series: African Americans in the Revolutionary War

Algernon S. Ward Jr., a retired research scientist from the New Jersey Department of Health & Environmental Laboratories will lecture about African Americans in the Revolutionary War.
Algernon is a widely-respected community activist who currently serves as president and founding member of the 6th Regiment United States Colored Troops (Civil War) and the 1st Rhode Island Regiment (Revolutionary War) reenactors. He and the First Rhode Island are the co-hosts of Washington Crossing State Park’s annual “Washington’s Landing” event.
