POSTPONED: Hearth Cooking Class
May 9, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
This class has been postponed.
Join a handful of other cooks to prepare an authentic 18th-century meal at Washington Crossing Historic Park.
You’ll learn the basic techniques of open hearth cooking in the Hibbs House. Using the hearth, you’ll prepare a seasonal 18th-century meal with a special Mother’s Day dessert, and then enjoy the meal as a group at the end of the class.
Please note that the food may include ingredients such as wheat, eggs, and meat, and the class will involve some lifting of kettles and water buckets.
WHAT TO BRING
You may want to bring an apron, your own knife, and a drinking vessel. Please dress appropriately, and do not wear open-toed shoes or shorts.
