Hessian Encampment & “The Christmas Night Crossing” A Lecture by Clay Craighead

Using diaries and letters of the participants, Washington Crossing State Park Historian Clay Craighead will give a lecture on the significance of the Christmas Night Crossing and the Battle of Trenton on December 23rd at 1 PM.
Von Prueschenk’s Feljager Corps will be encamped next to the Visitor Center Museum from 11-3. Come see Hessian camp life and observe theirtraining regimen. There will be musket firing demonstrations and they will be patrollingthe park in search for Rebels.
The Visitor Center Museum will be open from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. featuring The Swan Historical Foundation’s Collection of 500+ Colonial and Revolutionary War artifacts. For more information call (609) 737-0623.
