July: Hessian Occupation

Meet some of the most fascinating and misunderstood soldiers of the American Revolution: Hessians. Reenactors will offer a glimpse into their experiences here in America and how they factored into Washington’s crossing of the Delaware!

From April through October 2026, Washington Crossing Historic Park hosts Soldier Saturdays & Farmstead Fridays. Presented in partnership with Americana Corner, these free monthly programs explore military and civilian life during the American Revolution.

Explore civilian life during the Revolution with hands-on demonstrations. Programs take place on the 4th Friday of each month.

Garden Tours
Step into the sights, scents, and stories of an 18th-century kitchen garden on these guided tours, held at the Hibbs Garden, the same day as Farmstead Fridays, at 12:30pm (registration required)

Soldier Saturdays – Lower Park Village

Learn about military life during the Revolution with monthly themed programs, held on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
